Green Revolution Cooling: Liquid Submerged Servers and the Future of Green Data Centers

Green Revolution Cooling’s CarnotJet System is the winner of the 2013 Green500 and a solution Green IT has been dreaming of. When installed in either a new build or existing data center, GRC’s system cuts the electricity needed to cool servers in the facilities by 95%, as well as removes the need for particular high priced air-cooled system equipment so that capital investment costs decrease by 60% and operational costs are 50% less.

Christiaan Best
Founder and CEO
Green Revolution Cooling

Christiaan Best will discuss the future of green data centers, as well as the account of his company’s journey as a disruptive tech start-up in Austin, TX. From an idea with humble beginnings of fundraising and investors to steadily advancing adaptation in a world of air-cooled dominance to chart-shattering hockey sticks of growth and all of the “good problems to have” that come with it. Green Revolution Cooling provides liquid submersion cooling solutions for data centers, which allows them to use 95% less power that traditional air-cooling. Green Revolution has installed its solutions across the globe from Europe to Asia to Silicon Valley and has worked with multiple industries like Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Government, and also have a containerized solution that allows companies to have an entire data center inside a shipping container. All have specific needs, and all have seen their operational costs and capital expenditures dramatically slashed no matter their location, climate or system in place. Learn the technical specifications of how it all works, what it means for the future of the industry and meet the people behind the operation.
