Total Cost of Ownership Guide for PV Manufacturing
SEMI and VDMA compiled the Guide to support the PV industry in calculation of cost of ownership to better understand all of the data points when making purchasing discussions. The Guide provides a base level between equipment supplier and end users that will allow them to adjust parameters when making cost of ownership calculations.

The International Technology Roadmap for Photovoltaic (ITRPV), a SEMI initiative,  is created and regularly updated by the globally leading manufacturers of crystalline silicon (c-Si) products (wafer, cell, module). The objective of the ITPRV is to ensure constant cost reduction and efficiency increase through technology advancements in the performance of c-Si products.  Learn more at

 SEMI Standards

SEMI is the recognized leader in manufacturing standards—standards created by the industry, for the industry, to make PV a reality throughout the world. Industry supports the standards development process because it provides a forum for free exchange of technical expertise and is protected by anti-trust regulations. Companies that participate actively in standards work have a head start on their competitors in adapting to market demands and new technologies. In addition, a recent study has shown that research risks and development costs are reduced for companies contributing to the standardization process.

The SEMI Standards Photovoltaics Volume now includes over 50 PV manufacturing standards for equipment communications to materials and automation to wafers.

Participate in Global Book-to-Bill Program for PV Equipment
The Photovoltaic (PV) Equipment Data Collection Program generates a quarterly PV equipment book-to-bill report to provide subscribers with timely and credible global information on the rapidly expanding PV equipment market.
This quarterly book-to-bill report for the PV equipment industry that will give members and other industry stakeholders accurate insights into the market environment for PV manufacturing. Patterned after the widely quoted SEMI Book-to-Bill reports for the semiconductor industry, these reports will help members and other make informed investment decisions and know their position in the industry in relation to competitors. If you are interested in participating in this program, please contact us.
