David Anderson, President & CEO, Novati Technologies, Inc.

Dave Anderson is the Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Novati Technologies. Novati provides customized process technology development and product commercialization services for many established and emerging technology companies in semiconductor, MEMS, nano-, and bio-technologies in support of telecom, life sciences, security and defense applications.   

Prior to Novati, Anderson was Vice President of SVTC Technologies with responsibility for corporate development, strategic marketing, value chain partnerships, and global strategy. He was also previously President and General Manager of Advanced Technology Development Facility, Inc. (ATDF), a subsidiary of the SEMATECH consortium. As chief executive of ATDF, Anderson managed all aspects of ATDF’s technology development, engineering support services, manufacturing operations, and external business development. Anderson joined SVTC through acquisition of the ATDF business. Anderson led the carve-out and acquisition process of ATDF from SEMATECH, and the post-merger integration for the two companies. Anderson joined ATDF after serving as Director of Corporate Relations for SEMATECH with responsibilities for consortium member and supplier relations, industry and competitive analysis, critical materials, contracts and supply management, and International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors (ITRS) support programs. He has served the consortium in multiple capacities since 1988, when he joined its initial start-up team formulating the technology transfer process as a National Semiconductor assignee. 

A veteran of the semiconductor industry, Anderson has extensive experience in operations management, technology development, process engineering, supply chain management, international marketing and strategy. He previously worked as the Managing Director of SEMI/SEMATECH with a focus on value chain integration, a senior product marketing manager and operations manager for National, and as an engineering leader for Fairchild Semiconductor Corp. Anderson has published numerous articles in journals and trade publications and is a frequent invited speaker and panelist at conferences in industry and academia. He has a BSMSE degree from Purdue University in Materials Science/Metallurgical Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration from Nasson College. He completed doctoral studies in Industrial Engineering / Management of Technology at Arizona State University. Anderson has served on the boards of the Austin Technology Council and the Consortium for Advanced Management International (CAM-I), and is an advisor to several small businesses.
