David A. Roberts, PhD., Director Materials Development, Nantero, Inc.
David A Roberts is currently Director Materials Development at Nantero Inc. and is responsible for the development of viable carbon nanotube formulations to support high volume manufacturing of advanced memory technologies. Nantero R&D personnel design colloidal aqueous formulations that give highly functioning thin CNT films that meet the performance, quality and cost requirements for commercial products.
Prior to joining Nantero Inc. in 2009 he spent 28 years with Air Products and Chemicals, serving in various chemistry technical roles but ultimately was responsible for Electronic thin film precursors to support advanced semiconductor manufacture serving as Director of R&D at Schumacher, Electronic Gases and the Corporate Research and Science Center within Air Products. Areas of expertise include both low and high k dielectric precursors as well as metallic sources e.g., copper, tungsten interconnect, metal nitride diffusion barriers for thin films along with several other advanced materials classes to support Electronics, Battery and fluorochemical applications.
Dr. Roberts has over 40 issued US patents with concentration in electronic materials creation, purification and packaging. Educational background is chemistry with BS, MS, and PhD degrees from Case Institute of Technology, Wright State and Penn State respectively.
