A brief history of the semiconductor lithography and advancements that have enabled Moore's Law will be highlighted.  Future enhancements necesssary to maintain the pace of lithography development will also be discussed, along with the associated economic concerns.  Products and technologies that have arisen from past decades of semiconductor lithography will be illustrated with an eye to what the future may bring.
