New SEMI North America Standards Staff
Dear SEMI Standards Members,
I had the pleasure of already meeting some of you during the SEMI NA Standards Spring 2012 Meetings and at SEMICON West 2012, but I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself especially to those whom I have not met yet. My name is Michael Tran and I am the newest member of the SEMI North America Standards staff.
I will be responsible for supporting the following committees:
- Compound Semiconductor Material
- Liquid Chemicals
- MEMS / NEMS
- Physical Interfaces & Carriers
I am from San Jose, California and I have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California.
Prior to joining SEMI, I was an associate mechanical engineer at a manufacturing company where I assisted in product design, prototype testing, and manufacturing logistics. As a previous standards user myself, I appreciate what they could do for a company or industry like reducing costs, increasing quality, and ensuring compatibility and operability of goods and services, and so much more. With that said, I look forward to supporting and assisting you on your standards development efforts for SEMI.
