Hockenyos is President of TXP. TXP is an economic analysis and public policy
consulting firm founded in 1987 in Austin, Texas. TXP consults on a range of
projects across the country,
including; public sector and business arenas, engineering, and public policy. For a number of years, TXP provided an analysis of regional economic trends for the Wall Street Journal's New England,
Texas, and Pacific Northwest editions. TXP has a long-standing consulting relationship with the City of Austin on traditional economic development.
Hockenyos received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of
Illinois and Masters of Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs,
where he has taught as an Adjunct Professor.
He also served on the interim Board of Directors for Capital Metro (the Austin area transit authority) during the summer of 1997, is the current President of the Board of Directors of Hyde Park Theatre in Austin,
is a member of the Board of the ARC of Central Texas, and is a member of the Advisory Board of American Bank of Commerce.
