EUV has been under development for over 20 years with each new year bringing it ever closer to a reality. Recent progress in EUV technology shows a path to implementation. This webinar will provide some insight as to the material supply chain needed to support EUV as well as a status and challenges update on EUV technology as we move to wafer production.
Mark Thirsk has over 30 years’ experience in the chemical industry working with materials and processes utilized in wafer fabrication. In addition to his knowledge of electronic materials and manufacturing, he has also been involved in economic and business forecasting, strategic planning, technical marketing and M&A.
Previous to Linx, Mark was Senior Marketing Manager at Rohm and Haas Electronic Materials, where he was responsible for strategic planning and new business development. Mark has served on the SEMI Electronic Materials Group (EMG) which was formally the Chemicals and Gases Manufacturers Group (CGMG) since 1999.
Mark holds an Honours B.Sc. in Metallurgy and Materials Science from Birmingham University and an MBA from The Open University Business School.
Jan-Willem van der Horst
Jan-Willem van der Horst received his master degree in physics from the Radboud University of Nijmegen. After receiving his PhD in Computational Physics from the Technical University of Eindhoven, he joined ASML in 2001. He held various engineering and project management positions inside Development and Engineering, Customer Support before joining EUV Product Management in 2011. After several years as Product Manager of the NXE:3100 and NXE:3350B, he joined ASML’s EUV pellicle program late 2016, as Senior Product Manager.
