QRC Printed Hybrid Electronics

Fourth Dimension Engineering (4D) has been funded to establish a Quick-Reaction Capability (QRC) Center for the rapid design, production and test of deployable Printed Hybrid Electronics (PHE) solutions. In 2018, our focus is to develop a capability for the rapid design and manufacture of 3D printed multi-chip modules (MCMs). Our initial proof-of-concept, HERCULES, is a digital MCM which leverages a rigid, six-layer printed redistribution layer as well as printed die-level interconnects. In this talk we will discuss our mission, technology roadmap, progress to date and anticipated challenges in developing our first printed multi-chip module.

Speaker's Biography

Kevin Rose is a Microelectronics Engineer with 15 years supporting the DoD and commercial sector. As Director of Business Development at Fourth Dimension Engineering, Mr. Rose supports an integrated product team in the development and manufacture of quick-turn microelectronics hardware solutions. Mr. Rose earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland, Baltimore County, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and an MBA from University of Maryland College Park.
