SEMI Submits Comments to the European Commission on Proposed Changes to EU RoHS
In January, the European Commission (EC) invited industry representatives to provide feedback on proposed changes to the EU RoHS directive. RoHS regulations restrict the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. Concerned about the impacts of these proposed changes to semiconductor equipment manufacturers, the RoHS Working Group submitted comments to the EC articulating the position that the Large Scale Stationary Industrial Tool (LSIT) exemption should remain in place.
A copy of the SEMI letter submitted electronically to the EC is located here.
