Agenda
 LED Markets and Applications
 Jamie Fox, IMS Research
After 60% growth in 2010, the gallium nitride (GaN) LED market is expected to show a decline of 6% for 2011 to $8bn, but moderately rebound in 2012 as LED penetration into TV backlighting slows and more efficient direct-lit backing units become more prominent.  The lighting share of the GaN LED market, however, is expected to surge from 21% in 2011 to 49% in 2016. Lighting LED revenue is expected to grow more than 300% and units expected to grow more than 1500% over this period.  Jamie Fox from IMS Research will present the market outlook for LEDs, addressing the critical market drivers and technology trends underlying LED demand.

 Equipment Spending and Capacity Trends
 Dan Tracy, SEMI
Despite 2 years of massive investment in global capacity—particularly in China—significant new capacity and equipment is still projected for 2012.  Dan Tracy will present the 2012 outlook on global LED capacity and equipment spending.

 Materials Markets and Opportunities
 Mike Corbett, Linx Consulting

As manufacturers race to achieve a 10X cost improvement in LEDs by 2020, advanced materials to improve efficacy and greater material-use efficiency to reduce costs will become critical strategies.  This presentation from Mike Corbett from Linx Consulting will present an overview of the LED materials market and address the key trends and opportunities for manufacturers and materials suppliers.
