SEMICON Europa Features 27 Business and Technical Programs
BRUSSELS, Belgium–23 July 2008–Exhibitors will display their manufacturing technologies for semiconductor devices and photovoltaic cells at the SEMICON Europa annual exposition from 7-9 October 2008 at the Messe Stuttgart. SEMICON Europa also features a wide range of business and technical programs in parallel to the exhibition. The SEMICON Europa conferences and programs are divided into four tracks including Semiconductor; Test, Assembly and Advanced Packaging; MEMS/MST; and Photovoltaic.
The newly expanded Semiconductor track, features nine major events including the SEMI Technology Symposium, the twelfth annual Fab Manager’s Forum; Nanotechnologies Workshop; and Plastic Electronic Workshop among others. The SEMI Technology Symposium includes seven sessions focusing on numerous topics ranging from metrology to lithography to new materials.
The Test, Assembly and Advanced Packaging track will feature the 10th European Manufacturing Test Conference on 7 October and the Advanced Packaging Conference on 8-9 October with “Advanced Manufacturing Processing and Materials” and “Embedded Die and Wafer Level Packaging” as main themes.
The MEMS/MST track will highlight the International MEMS/MST Forum, to be held on 6 October with sessions dedicated to processes, packaging, industry and markets.
In the Photovoltaic track, the 4th annual Advanced Photovoltaic Manufacturing Technology Conference will be held on 8-9 October. The focus will be on the solutions, equipment, and the materials that the industry is able to provide to the wafer, cell and module makers in order to become more competitive in the global energy market.
In addition to the main program roster, there will be many other insightful sessions and events at SEMICON Europa including the 2nd annual SEMI Executive Summit; SEMI European Award Reception; SEMI International Standards Awards Reception; SEMICON Europa International Reception; Market Briefing/SEMInvest; Science Park; and the SEMI Technology Arena.
SEMICON Europa also serves as the industry venue to develop Semiconductor, Photovoltaic and MEMS Standards. There are more than 30 SEMI International Standards meetings planned, including workshops and Standards Technical Education Programs (STEP).
