SEMI Announces SEMICON Taiwan 2006 Opening Ceremony and Press Conference

TAIPEI, Taiwan – September 5, 2006 – SEMI will host an Opening Ceremony and Press Conference at SEMICON Taiwan 2006 on September 11, 2006. The Opening Ceremony will feature SEMI President and CEO, Stanley Myers; President of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) Mr. Yuen-Chuan Chao; and Minister of Economic Affairs for the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Mr. Ruey-Long Chen.

In addition, Stanley Myers, SEMI Taiwan President Eric Tien and SEMI Board of Directors Chairman Archie Hwang, will review the status of the global semiconductor equipment and materials industry and exposition highlights. An executive panel discussion will immediately follow, and will provide further perspective on current trends and issues.
