Registration Now Open for Industry Strategy and Technology Forum 2006 Co-sponsored by SEAJ/SEMI
Keynote speakers from Nissan and Intel, Event Runs October 10 –11, 2006 at Pacifico Yokohama
TOKYO, Japan – July 25 2006 - Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) and Semiconductor Equipment Association of Japan (SEAJ) today announced open registration for the new co-sponsored event “Industry Strategy and Technology Forum 2006”(ISTF 2006), which will be held October 10–11, 2006 at Pacifico Yokohama in Yokohama, Japan. Those who are interested in attending the event are required to register. Visitors will learn valuable information on current and future semiconductor equipment and materials.
ISTF 2006 consolidates SEMI’s “ISS Japan (Industry Strategy Symposium Japan)” and SEAJ Forum. ISS Japan was held 19 times by SEMI since 1987 for the semiconductor equipment and materials industries, while the SEAJ forum has been held 10 times since 1997. The new event provides opportunities for professionals in the semiconductor and FPD industries to obtain comprehensive, up-to-date information on global industry-focused technologies, as well as plentiful networking activities.
To keep the semiconductor and FPD industries well-informed for future growth, both organizations are putting significant effort toward bringing all elements of the industry into this forum, including device; equipment, parts and materials manufacturers; R&D consortiums; colleges; and municipal corporations. This event is the largest of its kind in the world, and is dedicated to offering a forum for valuable and constructive discussion among companies in the industry.
ISTF 2006 is expecting nearly 1,500 visitors from the semiconductor and FPD industries. Its main theme is “Advances in the Semiconductor Industry – Growth Born from Change.” On the first day of the event there will be a range of keynote speeches, business strategy sessions and a reception held. During the second day, there will be 11 sessions focusing on industry-specific manufacturing technologies, engineering roadmaps, equipment strategies, FPD and market trends.
Keynote speakers include Nobuo Okubo, senior advisor to the board (Technology), Nissan Motor, and Jai K. Hakhu, corporate vice president and general manager, Technology Manufacturing Engineering, Intel. In the business strategy sessions, top executives from Toshiba, Samsung Electronics, Texas Instruments, JSR, Tokyo Electron, and Applied Materials will take part in topical panel discussions around the theme “Search for the Sources of the Success of each Company.”
Event registration for ISTF 2006 is currently available at the ISTF Web site at http://www.istf2006.org. For more information on ISTF 2006, contact the Event Desk in SEMI Japan(Phone: +81-3-3222-5993,Email: jeventinfo@semi.org).
