Chairman and CEO of Kulicke & Soffa, Scott Kulicke, to Deliver Keynote Address

SINGAPORE – 18 April 2006 – SEMICON Singapore, Southeast Asia's largest exposition dedicated to semiconductor manufacturing technology, will take place 9-11 May, 2006 at the Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre (SICEC).

Featuring more than 600 display booths, SEMICON Singapore offers exhibitors a comprehensive platform for showcasing advanced manufacturing equipment, materials and services for the production, testing and packaging of semiconductors and related technologies.

“Over the past decade, Southeast Asia has become the dominant region in test, assembly and packaging for the global semiconductor industry,” said George C.T. Lin, president of SEMI Southeast Asia. “Because of its focus on this area of the technology, SEMICON Singapore is uniquely positioned to bring companies from throughout the region together.”

In addition to the three days of exhibition, SEMICON Singapore offers three days of business and technical programmes.

The SEMI Market Trends Briefing on 9 May will feature a keynote address by Scott Jewler, Chief Strategy Officer, STATS ChipPAC, which will discuss long-term industry projections. In addition, there will be presentations by representatives from Agilent Technologies, TechSearch International, Gartner and SEMI examining market growth and drivers for advanced packaging.

Technical programmes include the SEMI Technology Symposium (STS) from 10-11 May, focusing on advanced packaging technologies, test technologies and wafer processing technologies. Featured keynote speakers for the programmes include Scott Kulicke, chairman and CEO of Kulicke & Soffa and Chandran Nair, managing director for National Instruments Asean.
