SEMI® TO HOLD INDUSTRY STRATEGY SYMPOSIUM (ISS) 2006 ON 12–14 FEBRUARY IN AMSTERDAM
Brussels, 9 December 2005—Business strategy, technology trends and industry forecasts will be the major topics at the 19th annual Industry Strategy Symposium (ISS) Europe. Building on the theme “Europe: Creating Value in the Changing Electronics Lifecycle,” ISS Europe 2006 will provide the leading forum for industry luminaries, analysts, consortia and government officials to discuss these and other topics. ISS Europe will be held 12–14 February 2006 at the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
“As a leader in automotive and telecom electronic component designs, Europe will continue to play a significant role in existing and new microelectronic products. The challenge is to keep pace with market trends and enter new, emerging markets in time.” said Heinz Kundert, president of SEMI Europe. “By bringing together representatives from all segments of the semiconductor and electronics industries on one single platform, ISS Europe helps to significantly strengthen cooperation and collaboration at the European level, which the old continent really needs.”
Executives from Philips Semiconductors, Infineon Technologies, STMicroelectronics, KLA-Tencor, AMKOR Technology as well as representatives from IMEC, LETI, Medea+ and the University of Eindhoven, will offer their views on business strategies, technology trends and market perspectives, and the opening address will be delivered by Laurens-Jan Brinkhorst, deputy prime minister and minister of economic affairs of The Netherlands.
