SEMI Announces Industry Webcast:
Semiconductor Equipment and Materials: Funding the Future
October 18, 2005; 12:30 p.m. Pacific Standard Time; 3:30 Eastern Standard Time
SEMI, a global industry association, is conducting a webcast to present and discuss findings from an industry survey and white paper developed by Infrastructure Advisors. The commissioned study identifies the potential gap in research and development (R&D) funding with implications for continued innovation in semiconductor manufacturing technology. If current technology and economic trends continue, the funding gap could exceed $9 billion by 2010, according to the report.
The study author will present a summary of the commissioned white paper survey and a panel of industry experts will discuss the implications of the findings.
