FPD China Announced the New Location for 2010 and the Joint Event of 2010 China FPD Conference
SHANGHAI, China – November 19, 2009 –SEMI today announced that FPD China will move to Hall W1 of the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) on March 16-18, 2010. The China FPD Conference, the authoritative technical conference of the China FPD industry will be held concurrently with the FPD China exposition.
With the recovery of the global economic environment in recent months, FPD panel makers have planned to expand their production capacity and to increase the orders for FPD equipment and materials in order to satisfy the strong demands of the FPD market in China. Recently, the China FPD industry has witnessed the boost from new panel production plants, including the Generation 8 (“G8”) of BOE, G6 of Sharp, G8.5 of Kunshan, G8.5 of Samsung, and the G7 plant of LG Display.
Meanwhile, China’s central and local governments, the biggest investor of China industries, announced investments of up to US$586 billion to boost domestic demand, where Home Appliances, 3G Handset, Digital TV, Automotive Electronic are recent policies in particular for promoting FPD industry. In 2009, the China central government also implemented consumption-stimulation policies, such as “home appliances to the countryside” and “trade-in policies” to maintain the domestic consumption of FPD end products.
“Under the strong expectation of significant growth in the coming years, SEMI is actively promoting effective communication and discussion, and attracting more attention for the FPD industry. We look forward with anticipation to the upcoming FPD China event,” said Allen Lu, the president of SEMI China.
FPD China 2010 will be not only moved to SNIEC, but also will be held concurrently with several inter-related industry exhibitions under the umbrella of the 2010 Shanghai IT Fair. These exhibitions include SEMICON China, SOLARCON China, electronica China & Productronica China, LASER World / PHOTONICS China, and the China Printed Circuit Association (CPCA) Show. It is expected that FPD China 2010 will attract 30,000 industry visitors in 3 days, achieving triple the growth of last year. There will still be three segments of the show – the equipment, materials and components area, the panel maker area and the end products area, covering the industrial chain as a whole.
The 2010 China FPD Conference, which is the joint conference to FPD China, is hosted by the Liquid Crystals Session of the China Optics and Optoelectronics Manufactures Association (COEMA). As the authoritative technical conference of the China FPD industry, this conference brings valuable and forward-looking information and current trend of technical development.
“Both the booth registration of FPD China 2010 and the call for papers of 2010 China FPD Conference are under way. Key players of the global FPD industry, such as AUO and CMO, have already confirmed their attendance at this industry event,” said Joyce Yang, FPD product manager of SEMI China. “Undoubtedly, FPD China 2010 and the China FPD Conference in Pudong Shanghai will be highly interesting and very successful.”
