Companies at FPD China 2009 Examine New Display Technologies to Prepare for Next Boom in China’s FPD Industry

Sixth Annual Exposition to Examine Outlook for FPD Industry

SHANGHAI, China – March 10, 2009– The sixth annual FPD China, China’s leading flat-panel display industry event, will be held March 11-13 at the Shanghai International Exhibition Center (INTEX Shanghai) in Shanghai, China. Targeted at industry executives and engineers in the FPD and related industries in China, FPD China brings new, innovative product and technology exhibits, as well as a comprehensive set of business and technical seminars and industry networking opportunities.

FPD China features 114 companies occupying nearly 260 booths and 8000 square meters of exhibit area, and it will house numerous exhibitors from regional FPD hotspots including Japan, Korea, China Taiwan and China Mainland.

“Though we are in the midst of a global financial crisis in China, new government programs continue to stimulate purchases of TV industry,” said Mark Ding, president of SEMI China. “In addition, planning continues for new higher generation fabs, as well as two generation 4.5 fabs in the region.”

Leading global FPD-related companies at FPD China 2009, will display manufacturing equipment and services for TFT LCDs, OLEDs, plasma display panels (PDPs) and other types of flat panel displays. The show will also include exhibits by panel makers and suppliers of LCD consumer products such as LCD TV.

2009 marks the first year that FPD China will be partially open to the public, as the LCD TV sales event will be held onsite on March 13 to attract consumers to the show.
