New SEMIViews Provides Online Access to SEMI International Standards
Access, organize, annotate, and understand Standards better with SEMIViews
SAN JOSE, Calif. – March 4, 2009 – SEMI announces SEMIViews, a Standards Management system, which offers online access to all SEMI International Standards in a Web 2.0 format. SEMIViews, which includes built-in search, notation and other productivity enhancements, allows users to create unique settings and organize frequently used Standards documents.
Since the inception of the SEMI International Standards program, the semiconductor industry has saved millions of dollars by implementing standards. However, navigating nearly 800 SEMI Standards and 8,000 pages of material can be a daunting task. Accessing and organizing all the Standards needed by a company can be both complicated and time-consuming.
While addressing these issues through improved navigation and search functionality, SEMIViews also eliminates the need for paper or CD SEMI Standards, instead offering 24/7 online access. In addition, Standards are always up-to-date with no waiting when new standards become available. SEMIViews is accessible via standard Web browsers, and users can quickly maneuver through standards via a linked table of contents.
“For the first time, SEMI Standards are accessible through a highly intuitive interface that enables faster and more efficient information retrieval,” said Tonya Maudlin, senior manager of Standards Products and Administration at SEMI. “In addition, by building in Web 2.0-based interactivity, SEMIViews enables greater collaboration via the use of notes, links and collections.”
