SEMICON Recognized as Leading Trade Show Brand by
Trade Show Executive Magazine
LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif.–October 15, 2008– SEMICON® trade shows have been recognized as the leading global brand by the publishers of Trade Show Executive at the magazine's inaugural 'Gold 100' Awards ceremony at the Ritz Carlton Resort in Laguna Niguel, California.
The Trade Show Executive 'Gold 100' is positioned as the leading trade show awards program, recognizing those events "that have set the gold standard for the trade show industry." In addition to celebrating the leading 100 trade shows in North America, Trade Show Executive also honored ten events with special 'Grand Awards' for outstanding achievements in the field of trade show production, including the largest show managed by an association, the show with the largest economic impact on the local economy, the greenest show, and the show with the highest global participation. SEMICON was recognized as the Leading Brand, based on both the strength of SEMICON West and on the reach of the SEMICON brand around the world.
The Gold 100 and Grand Awards are the latest in a series of recent honors received by expo organizer SEMI and SEMICON West from the trade show industry. The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), the leading global association for the trade show industry, has honored SEMICON West 2008 as part of its annual 'Art of the Show' competition. The exposition earned first place in the Brand Design and Development category, besting perennial Art of the Show winners including the International Consumer Electronic Show (CES).
“The SEMICON brand is the product of a long-running and deep collaboration between our exhibitors and SEMI, the industry trade association,” said Stanley T. Myers, president and CEO of SEMI. “We are extremely proud that this collaboration has been recognized for being among the top trade show brands in any industry.”
