The PV Fab Managers Forum is a global event where photovoltaic business leaders from both the manufacturing and the supplier world meet to discuss key issues facing the industry and look towards finding possible solutions and future opportunities in the market place.
The theme this year is Supply Chain Management, as this has a direct impact on the entire manufacturing chain and production efficiency. We will look at the challenging aspects of the supply chain.
New this year is the collaboration between a key group of fab managers and the PV Group in order to improve the customer-supplier relationship for equipment and materials used in the cell and module manufacturing. The group will present a supplier assessment at the PV-FMF, and a discussion will be held with all involved parties in order to improve the current situation.
We will also examine Supply Chain Management—in other industries, such as automotive—and what we can learn from best practices, how standardization can contribute to improvements, and last but not least, how fits the trend of clustering in this whole picture. Companies and institutes active in the creation of the program are Q-Cells, Schott Solar, Fraunhofer, Jacobs University and others.
The program was carefully designed by industry leaders to focus on the most important issues facing us today. Short presentations are combined with open debates and facilitated Q&A sessions. Time is purposefully allowed for useful networking in the breaks.
