What We Do

The SEMI Pacific Northwest Steering Committee along with the SEMI Foundation founded the High Tech U program. The High Tech U program was designed to be a fun and interactive way to introduce high school students to the semiconductor industry. To date, the SEMI Foundation and the Pacific Northwest Steering Committee have helped produce 50 plus programs with over 1450 participants in the United States, Singapore, Japan and Europe.

In 2006, the SEMI Pacific Northwest Steering Committee kicked off its Robotics Sponsorship Program with the sponsoring of three teams in the 2005 Pacific Northwest First Robotics Competition.

In an effort to bring business, labor and the semiconductor sector together to shape strategies to best meet the semiconductor workforce and employer needs of the Northwest with a high-skill, high-wage workforce, the SEMI Pacific Northwest Steering Committee created the SEMI Scholarship for the Pacific Northwest in 2005.
