The Bureau of Industry Security (formerly the Bureau of Export Administration) provides information and resources regarding export and export control compliance. The BIS offers seminars and training to help companies understand compliance issues and other matters related to the export of controlled products.

The International Employee Stock Options Coalition (IESOC) supports broad-based employee stock option plans. The coalition is comprised of trade associations (including SEMI) and companies representing a diverse range of industries, including high-tech, manufacturing and service companies, in the U.S. and abroad.

The National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI) is a federal R&D program established to coordinate the multiagency efforts in nanoscale science, engineering, and technology.

Nano Science and Technology Institute: http://www.nsti.org/

The Nano Science and Technology Institute (NSTI) is chartered with the promotion and integration of nano and other advanced technologies through education, technology and business development. NSTI accomplishes this mission through its offerings of consulting services, continuing education programs, scientific and business publishing and community outreach.

www.sia-online.org The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) is the premier trade association representing the U.S. semiconductor industry. Founded in 1977 by five microelectronics innovators, SIA unites 95 companies responsible for more than 85 percent of semiconductor production in this country. SIA provides domestic semiconductor companies a forum to advance the global competitiveness of the $80 billion U.S. chip industry. www.nftc.org The National Foreign Trade Council is a business organization that advocates international and public policy issues such as international trade, investment, tax, and export finance to human resource management.

www.brt.org The Business Roundtable is an association of chief executive officers of leading corporations with a combined workforce of more than 10 million employees in the United States and $3.7 trillion in revenues. The chief executives are committed to advocating public policies that foster vigorous economic growth and a dynamic global economy.

www.svtdg.org The Silicon Valley Tax Directors Group is composed of representatives from leading high-technology companies with corporate offices predominantly located in the area between San Francisco and San Jose, California (widely know as the “Silicon Valley”). The group was formed in 1981 and now has 32 members. The group hosts visits of Federal and State tax law makers to the Silicon Valley for the purpose of sharing information about the high technology industries and enabling open dialog regarding tax policy.

www.aboutastra.org The Alliance for Science and Technology Research in America is a new organization-built heavily around industry leadership- comprised of members from industry, universities, trade associations (including SEMI), scientific and professional societies, and other stakeholders has been established to serve as a forceful advocate for increased Federal research investments in the critically important fields of mathematics, the physical sciences and engineering.

www.aaas.org The American Association for the Advancement of Science, "Triple A-S" (AAAS), is the world's largest general scientific society, publisher of Science. The AAAS website is an excellent source for information about the Federal budget for Research and Development (R&D).

http://www.investinamericasfuture.org/ The R&D Credit Coalition is a group of more than 85 trade and professional associations and more than 1,000 small, medium, and large companies that engage in U.S.-based research. The Coalition’s members represent major sectors of our economy, including aerospace, agriculture, biotechnology, chemicals, electronics, energy, information technology, pharmaceuticals, software, and telecommunications.
