Transformation of the Semiconductor Industry: New Demand Drivers, Consolidation of Customers, and Increased Collaboration

This year's conference will focus on the transformation of the semiconductor industry. The supply-driven mentality of “build it and they will come” has transformed into a demand-driven mentality where factory capacity is added in rational increments.

Key presentation and panel topics address:

  • 450mm
  • 3DIC
  • Scaling
  • Supply Chain Coordination
  • Demand Drivers
  • Technology Challenges

Newly Added Topic

Global 450 Consortium Executive Update:  Coordinated Collaboration to Drive the Next Industry Wafer Transition

After years of road-mapping, discussion and planning, coordinated R&D efforts to enable the manufacturing of semiconductors on larger 450mm silicon wafers has recently become more clearly established under the auspices of the newly formed Global 450 Consortium (G450C).

New funding parameters, partners and programs are aimed at driving a more efficient and collaborative process that includes five IC manufacturers, (GLOBALFOUNDRIES, IBM, Intel, Samsung and TSMC), the SUNY Albany College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) and numerous semiconductor equipment and materials providers.

Specific organizational details are in various stages of finalization. At the time of this writing, there have been some preliminary reports about various 450 facilities, program organization, funding and timelines. Executives at ITPC will enjoy a timely and accurate 450 status report along with an opportunity to discuss international 450 coordination with long-time ITRS Roadmap and 450 advocate Dr. Paolo A. Gargini followed by an exciting panel discussion of industry experts.

Who Should Attend
