Heliovolt—Shining a Spotlight on Green Energy in Austin

HelioVolt and its FASST® technology have shined a spotlight on Austin’s push to become a Green Energy manufacturing center. FASST sidesteps dependence on costly silicon by utilizing copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS), a highly efficient, solar energy absorbing thin film that is 100 times thinner than silicon. The FASST process is also 10 to 100 times faster than traditional silicon processes, and allows PV integration into a variety of customized products.
