Visitor Registration Now Open for SEMICON Japan 2008
SEMI today announced that visitor registration for SEMICON Japan 2008 is now open. The event, held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan December 3-5, is the world’s largest exposition for semiconductor equipment and materials, and is in its 32nd year.
In addition to the main product exhibition at SEMICON Japan, the event will feature a number of keynotes from leading industry executives and government officials, a wide range of technical and business seminars, SEMI Standards seminars and committee meetings, and the popular SEMI Technology Symposium (STS).
STS, which runs in conjunction with SEMICON Japan, brings the latest industry trends and technologies to attendees, and has been an integral part of the main exposition for over 25 years.
This year’s SEMICON Japan/STS keynote theme is “Sustainability— the Future of Semiconductors,” and speakers include Takeho Hoshino of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry; Masashi Muromachi of Toshiba Corporation; Tetsuro Higashi of Tokyo Electron; and Frank Huang of Powerchip Semiconductor Corporation.
Keynotes will be held on the first day of the exposition starting at 10:00am in the International Conference Hall at the Makuhari Messe, and are free to attendees of SEMICON Japan.
