At SEMICON China 2008, the Fourth Annual China Customs and Export Controls Seminar will be held. Titled “The Four Pillars of Global Compliance for Chinese Importers and Exporters,” the March 20 event will be held from 8:30am–5:00pm at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The event is sponsored by both SEMI and the AeA.

This session focuses on recent and pending policies and regulations, including encryption controls, from the Chinese perspective. Private industry representatives will share “hands-on” experience, and plenty of time will be allowed for “questions and answers.”

Presenters include China Customs, China’s Ministry of Commerce, and the SIQ Inspection Bureau. The U.S. Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) and the U.S. Embassy (Beijing) will also present.
