SEMI Moscow office was established in 1992 to facilitate mutual business interests between SEMI member companies and the semiconductor industry in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Specific activities undertaken by the Moscow office include organizing trade missions and trade shows, developing a standards program, providing technical and business education programs, locating and identifying investment opportunities, providing technical information, and coordinating business travel.

SEMICON Russia is the major annual event hosted by SEMI Moscow office.
