Salary: $25,000 Base plus up to $50,000 Commission/Bonus Target

General Description
SEMI, a global trade association representing equipment and materials suppliers from the microelectronic (IC, PV, FPD) industries is seeking a mid level sales professional to sell SEMI products and member solutions including exhibition space, advertising, sponsorship, research and information products, and memberships to current and new accounts.
This is a contract sales position located in Boston for the eastern US with Eastern US/Canada territory responsibility. Compensation structure is “base plus commission” along with potential ‘exceed bonuses’. It is possible for the job to lead into a regular, full time position after a year or so.
Person must have at least 4 years experience selling products and services to semiconductor or related industry. The ideal candidate would also have experience selling or marketing to the trade show industry. Candidate should be able to travel up to 40% of the time.
Primary Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed sales quotas
- Sell exhibition space, sponsorships, and advertising opportunities to major SEMI trade show events
- Prospect new accounts and up-sell to existing accounts
- Create and present account specific sales plans
- Track and report all sales/sales related activities on a weekly, or as required basis including daily call reports, weekly sales activity reports, and customer feedback reports
- Assist with membership recruitment/sales and promotion of member activities
- Participate in ongoing sales training for skills, product, company, and membership
- Attend regional industry specific events for sales prospecting, member outreach, and competitive investigation
- Leverage internal resources as required to achieve sales and membership goals including operations, marketing, membership, accounting, etc
Experience and Specialized Skills:
- Min 4 years capital equipment sales experience in the semiconductor manufacturers preferably to Eastern US/Canada accounts
- Superior cold calling and face to face presentation skills w/ documented professional sales training (Miller Hieman, Solution Selling, etc)
- Excellent knowledge and demonstrated use of Sales CRM systems such as Salesforce.com, Sales Logix, ACT, Goldmine, etc.
- Strong account management skills with the ability to maximize sales opportunities within existing accounts and ensure strong account loyalty
- Ability to travel 40% of the time
