Paul Cain
FlexEnable

Dr Paul Cain is Strategy Director at FlexEnable. Paul has over 17 years’ experience in the flexible display and plastic electronics industries, in both technical and strategic management roles. He has a deep technical and industry knowledge of flexible display technologies and companies. Paul has taken new display technologies from lab to fab to commercial product, and has over 25 patents relating to processes and architectures that enable the high yield manufacture of flexible displays. Paul has a PhD in Physics from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from London Business School.

 

Mike Hack
Universal Displays

Dr. Michael Hack, is Vice-President of Business Development at Universal Display Corporation. Prior to joining UDC in 1999, he was associated with dpiX, a Xerox Company, where he was responsible for manufacturing flat panel displays and digital medical imaging products based on amorphous silicon TFT technology. Dr. Hack received his Ph. D. degree from Cambridge University, England in 1981 and in 2007 Dr. Hack was elected a Fellow of the Society for Information Display. In 2014 Dr. Hack was nominated to serve on the board of the U.S. OLED Lighting Coalition to promote the advancement and commercialization of OLED lighting.

 

Erica Montbach
Kent Displays

Dr. Erica Montbach is the Manager for Research and Development at Kent Displays Inc. (developer and manufacturer of the Boogie Board) and is responsible for flexible display development and innovation, including leading multi-disciplinary teams, mentoring, solving key technical problems, and developing new concepts. In addition, Dr. Montbach has unique experience with web conveyance and roll to roll display products from her previous work with Eastman Kodak.  She has 35 technical publications and 20 patents and patent applications in several areas of liquid crystal research. She is a member of the Society for Information Display and the International Society for Optical Engineering.  Dr. Montbach has a B.A. in Physics from The College of Wooster, an M.S. in Physics from Colorado State University, and a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from the Liquid Crystal Institute at Kent State University.
D. Scott Bull

Dr. Scott Bull is the AVP of Research at E Ink Corporation where he leads a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to deliver the next generation of electrophoretic display technology.  A chemist/material scientist by training, he has spent most of his career with large chemical companies such as ICI and AkzoNobel.  This work has focused on adhesives, sealants, and coatings for electronics and industrial applications.  This experience also includes multi-year R&D leadership assignments in China and The Netherlands.  Dr. Bull holds a Ph.D. in Organic & Medicinal Chemistry from The Johns Hopkins University.
