Dr. Cherng-Tsong Kuo works for the Institute of Nuclear Energy Research (INER), Atomic Energy Council, Taiwan, and is currently the director of High Concentration Photovoltaic (HCPV) System R&D Project, engaging in the development and application of HCPV related technologies. The one megawatt (MW) HCPV demonstration plant at Lujhu, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, was established in December 2009 under his supervision. Prior to joining HCPV project, he was the director of nuclear instrumentation division as well as the director of commercial grade item dedication (CGID) center, which is responsible for the dedication of commercial components for replacing the safety-related components in nuclear power plants. Dr. Kuo received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder in USA. His expertise is in photovoltaics, semiconductor device processing and characterization.
