Dr. P.K. Chiang is the Vice President of Arima Photovoltaic & Optical (PV&O) Corporation, a leading global supplier of III-V triple junction solar cells for space and terrestrial concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) applications.

Dr. Chiang joined Arima PV&O in 2007 as the Vice President of Photovoltaic BU.  Prior to joining Arima PV&O, he worked for Spectrolab Inc. (Sylmar, California) as a Senior Engineer and worked for Tecstar Inc. (City of Industry, California) as the Director of Advanced Solar Cell department.  He was responsible for III-V multiple junction solar cell development in both companies.  He fabricated the world first III-V triple junction solar cell in 1996 while he was working for Spectrolab.  Before joining Spectrolab and Tecstar, he worked for ITT (Roanoke, Virginia) for 5 years and successfully developed large volume MOCVD GaAs/AlGaAs growth capability for Gen-III night vision goggle production.

Dr. Chiang has >25 year experience in III-V semiconductor research including 15 years in III-V multi-junction solar cell development.  Dr. Chiang received Ph.D. degree from Electrical Engineering department of North Carolina State University (Raleigh, North Carolina) in December, 1985.  He is a member of Phi-Kappa-Phi and Tau-Beta-Pi honor societies.  He has been granted 2 patents and has 30 publications.
